I have mentioned his name in a couple of posts in the past. I am a big Robben Ford fan. He is probably my favorite living guitarist.

I just started learning some of his stuff, man he is brilliant. He's very under rated and more of a guitarit's guitarist. If that makes any sense. He has been playing a lot recently with another of my favorites - Larry Carlton. He has played with a list of artists too long to mention right now.

I have been a big fan of his for more than 20 years.

He has played with Phil and Friends on at least one occasion in CA. and I would love to get a recording of one of those shows.

Anyone else know him of him or a fan of his?

I have and like the album Talk to Your Daughter, but can't say I know too much more. No denying he's a hell of a player. Any suggestions for further listening?

of course anything he has done is great but if you can listen to Robben ford and the blue line I am sure you will enjoy it. Check out some videos on his site.

Here is an interesting discography, He used to play with little feat too. I dont know if he was just a studio musician or played any live gigs with them.

I just searched him on archive.org and a several shows popped up with him playin with Phil.

This has nothing to do with the original post but you know who is generally overlooked as a guitarist? Clarence White. He was a wonderful guitarist. He played with the Byrds for a while and he also played in the bluegrass band Muleskinner with Peter Rowan and Dave Grissman, which I highly recommend.

I haven't heard much Robben Ford, just the song 'Talk to your Daughter', he plays(ed) an unusual Fender guitar if I recall. I really like Clarence White (Jerry called him one of his favorites too) and the 70's version of the Byrds. He was killed loading out his gear at a club by a drunk driver. He also played an unusual Fender guitar, a Tele with a double width body with the Parsons/White string bender on it.
