i'm attempting to write some songs with my band but the thing is, none of us are poetic in any sense of the word and i'd like to avoid writing fall out boy esque lyrics, so are there any budding poets on here willing to collaborate a bit? If not anyone know where i can find a poet, they're like leprachauns these days

Hehehe, I think everyone here has tried writing Hunteresque lyrics. I for one though see all my attempts as bland, average and uninspiring...

I recall a quote from Jerry on this topic and how he'd rather fill in all the zeros in a phone book than write song lyrics.

well if i were remotely spanish i would be, that'd be cool in a mars volta kinda way, but i'm white and that would look very odd

if jerry hates writing lyrics that much i would rather fill in all the 0's 8's 9's and 6's than try to write. to me the golden road looks like dante

I read somewhere that hunter used to blast away on a trumpet to get lightheaded before writing lol. interesting way to induce creativity.
