I pulled this from an earlier post of mine and added the more generic second line.

'I use my pinky to barre - many use the third finger

e---------2-2-2-2--------0-0-0-0-------------
b---------4-4-4-4--------0-0-0-0--------------
g---------4-4-4-4--------1-2-1---------------
d---------4-4-4-4--------2-2-2--------------
a------2--2-2-2-2--------2-2-2---------------
e-2-3-4-2--------4-3-2-0-0-0-0-----------------

e-------------------------------0
b-------------------------0-0-0-0-------
g-------------------------1-2-1------
d----------4-6-4----------2-2-2-----
a----2--/6-------6po4-2---2-2-2-------
e-2h4-------------------0-0-0-0--------'

here's another way...( /=slide up)

-----------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------
--------------------1---0-1--2-0-1-------
--------------------2-2------------------
-----2----2-2-------2--------------------
-1/2----2-----4-3-2-0--------------------

-----------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------
-----------------------1---0-1--2-0-1----
----------4-6-4-1------2-2---------------
-----2--2---------4-2--2-----------------
-1/2-------------------0----------------

there's sort of a trill on the -0-1-

I dig the style you are capturing, G-Pat, but I think you are forgetting the Esus4 or at least the single note of A.

I also think when he would hit the e chord in the intro Jerry or Bobby would add an A then do a little trill on the E, like this

E|------------------------------------
B|---------------------------------------------------------
G|----------------1--1--2--1p0h1p0h1-------------------
D|----------------2--2--2--2-----------------
A|----------------2--2--2--2-----------
E|-------------------------------------
