but I know people need help getting thru that day8/9 so thanks

yeah that was a hard decision to make back when I started doing these... his birthday or the day he passed... but like you said, I reached the conclusion that it would help some people get through a very difficult day

Well ya know, there is a real popular philosopher...if you will, that has both his birthday AND his passing (rising really) celebrated. So its possible to enjoy both I guess. Personally speaking I tend to keep "quiet" on 8/09.
