"Seat" is a British car maker that has been doing quite well recently. But its profit margins aren't really relevant here, what is relevant is their affinity for our favorite band. Maybe I've been listening to the Dead a bit too much but still, I think I might be onto something here.

Seat have two new cars. One is called Altea and the other Alhambra. They also have an ad on TV that shows a Seat driver giving a sort of a 'high five' to a toy on his dashboard that looks like Jerry, i.e. bushy hair and beard and a tye-dye shirt...

This is probably nothing but if they release a new model called Ripple or Bertha then my suspicions would come true.

If the horn sounds anything like Donna Jean you have this one nailed down..

Well to make things clear, Seat is not British but Spanish. Altea and Alhambra are probably just taken out of the Spanish language... Anyway, the idea sounds like fun. You can always put an SYF bumper sticker on it.

I don't drive myself, and yes the idea sounds far too inprobable to be true...then again, here is a far out idea I nurtured:

People who come up with concepts for car names or ad ideas, are to be considered as creative individuals, I mean, you wouldn't have a businessman whose life is business and who went through business school to get his degree in business running the department of concepts (or whatever the real name of it would be), you'd have to have someone who most likely went through some art school or something. And he would probably have to be middle-aged, not young to be in charge of that department.
So, he/she is rather old, went to art uni and most likely used "performance enhancing" substances at some point in his/her life. Coming from that background its quite possible that he/she has heard of a particular band that may have spurred some ideas that he/she pitched to the execs and got them approved....

Far fetched? You bet your ass!
