I do. They are for sure hands down one of my top favorite of all favorite bands of today.

after cheese is done, the really good bands are few and far between (yonder, old crow medicine show, and moe are the only ones left) unfortunately my job restricts me from going, but ive been known to blow those job things off in the past for shows, so im like 5050

I love Cheese. I am still in mourning...

definitly love cheese, and it is true that there is little really great bands left.

def agree it is going to be hard to find a band as good as them after there done, someone will have to step it up

Do I like Cheese ... that is a difficult question ... I love the OLD CHEESE ... before the trance Gods got ahold of them ... Billy Nershi is one of my favorite players of all time .. period and I love Honkytonk Homeslice ... and if you listen to some recent Cheese shows you will see why he is leaving the band .. the rest of the band is leaning towards techno electric trance type music where Billy is still an old time Americana/Bluegrass kind guy .... I saw them at the Fillmore here in Denver this past spring and at moments they were brilliant and at other times they were just loud .... musically I respect them endlessly, it is just guys going different directions .... now some of you said that good bands are far and few in between ... Well Yonder is just spanking it each and every night and check out Railroad Earth ... nobody has hit space like them since The Dead ... check out this show and go see RRE as soon as you can cause they are awesome . check out this Warhead Boogie>Space> Seven Story Mountain .. it's been along time since we have heard music like this

I'm right there with lost sailor. 98 cheese is amazing. They were still a great band to the end but as mentioned the jams would get a little boring and they were getting away from the bluegrss thing that they did so well.

the bluegrass made them but that doesnt mean they cant experiment. that being said i liked the bluegrass much better but they're a great group and i respect whatever they do

I love cheese, its so sad that there breaking up.

I wish the best to them and hope they all go in a good direction.

One of the best jam bands I've seen for sure.

i like the cheese(seen several shows), i'm going to see 'em @ the Greek in a week and half w/Hot Buttered Rum and RailRoad Earth. i think i get fatigued if i listen to cheese too much, there songwriting is a little lacking. Great live shows, really looking forward to RRE for the 1st time.

After the Red Rocks shows on the 10th and 11th of August, the party will continue up at the Stage Stop in Rollinsville. Our band, Juba Juba! will be playing with Rootstand and Project Percolator (Jim Weider's new band). I'm not sure of the connection but Jim is a friend of String Cheese and will start about an hour after the SCI show to give folks time to get up there. It will be a wacky time!

Cheese has gotten a little rotten over the years, but they will always have IT, and they will always bring IT. I've only seen them 4 or 5 times, but they were the best concerts of my life.

I was about to get Big Summer Classic tickets until I realized tickets were almost at a comical price, so forget that. I'll miss having them around.

Like them or not, you've got to admit that they were the only ones who did what they did, just like the Dead were the only LSD soaked cowboys who could stretch a simple 4 minute single into five>different>songs>with>a>few>jams E: in between.

That's why I think Disco Biscuits could be the next big thing. Because no matter what side of the trance jam scene you stand on, they have a pretty unique sound, too, and no one has played their songs backwards, forwards, middle to end, end to middle, middle to beginning as many times as Bisco has. Plus I'm not too sure there are many other trance bands out there covering the Rolling Stones and Beethoven.

I am on this side of the trance band issue ... neither, can't stand it, won't buy anymore tickets for it ... Next big thing? Freaking Yonder is blowing up like the world trade center .... If I spend my money it's got to be Yonder, Railroad Earth, Great AMerican Taxi or Leftover Salmon, Hot Buttered Rum is fun as well ... I saw a WHOLE BUNCH OF TRANCE jam bands at Wakaruas and the all sounded like a bunch of bands whose guitarist got stuck to his wah wah pedal .... Sorry different strokes for different folks ... I can just drive down the raod and see Nershi and Austin jamming !!!!!!!!!

Lucky lucky guy ... should be fun ... Billy and Railroad Earth have been crashing each others stages for a minute now ... when RRE was in Boulder Billy and Vince Herman both sat in .. Up On The Hill WHere They Do The Boogie !!!! and Hot Buttered Rum is a fun fun band ... have a great time and post us a review
