i know this site is GD based but just wondering what else some wise folks like yourself are into. This might be a good learnin for me and whoever checks this out. Always good to broaden your horizon. Any String Cheese fans or Sound tribe sector 9 fans? If so there is an amazing show of the two playing together on 2004-06-19 at hornings hideout. It starts out Totally cheese and in the end its all sts9. a must have for any fan of both

today is an oldies day.
Started off with the soundtrack to "The Big Chill" - great songs. you young'uns should check it out.
Moved to Aretha Franklin's Greatest hits. That voice moves me... and Duane's contribution on her version of "the weight" is sweet. Wonder how that came about... Duane and Aretha??
Now I'm relaxin to a classic jazz station, sipping some irish whiskey on my porch. Charlie Parker on the horn, Miles Davis on the trumpet, and a good buzz. Life is good.

the shins, caring is creepy,
is it just me or are the shins freaking amazing, austrailia, know your onion, kissing the lipless, the list goes on and on and on. i was stuck in the 60's and 70's for a long time and just recently have I been getting into, and way into, music from this epoch.

Hey DVS, Duane was a Muscle Shoals session player. He played on two or three Aretha albums. They are still in print and available on cd.
I'm listening to Rush in Tuscon 1979.
