I know some people got together last year and had a rukind fantasy football league. Was wondering if we were planning to do that again this year. I just had my first draft yesterday on a public league and ended up pretty well

QB: bulger, leinert
RB: Gore, Travis henry, ronnie brown, fred taylor
WR: Javon walker, larry fitz (in the 6th round ) jerry porter and reggie brown
TE: Mercedes Lewis, daniel grahm
D/ST: Jacksonville
kicker: O-lindo mare

i agree that live online draft is the way to go. I can set up a league on foxsports. it's free and i like the format. It will be a live online draft so give me a day of the week that is best. I would like to wait until closer to the start of the nfl season so that if there is any injuries during pre season, nobody gets screwed. We all live in different time zones so this could be tricky. however I'll set one up and the first 12 that join are the ones that will play. If we only get 6 that's okay too.

Alright I have a free league set up at foxsports.com

Go to fox sports and get to the fantasy football home page. Click on join a free leauge.

Then select join a private league. (you have to set up an account)

The league name is: rukind league (all lower case)

Password is: captaintrips (all lower case and one word)

You then set up your fantasy football team name and the draft is set right now for saturday august 18 2:00 PM EST. the time of the draft CAN change.

The first 12 to sign up are the first 12 to play.

The scoring rules are a little different then in some leauges:

passing td's are 6 points instead of 4 (more value)

A 5 point bonus is giving for a QB who throws over 300 yards, A RB that gains over 100 yards rushing, or a reciever who catches more than 100 yards.

You pick a team Defense/ST instead of individual players. You gain points for Sacks/interceptions/low points allowed/safties/defensive touchdowns.

Foxsports has a pretty good fantasy kit online that lists there top players in every position for any newbies.

Cool, we had alot of fun with this last year. i hung on to 4th place for about 4 weeks and dropped to 8th or 9th i beleive in the last 2 weeks I took Brady in round1 and he didnt have a stellar year. see you all there!

Thanks for setting this up. I would change the draft day though. Aug. 18 is a bit early. I'd like to see the draft happen after the pre-season games. No sense in taking Fragile McNabb only to see him suffer a splintered pancreas while bending over to take a snap in preseason game 3. Better to wait until sometime after Aug. 31 (last preseason game) so we can take Fragile McNabb only to see him suffer a ruptured larynx bending over to pick up his morning paper. ;)

But other than that, that's cool. Are we going to try and do prizes again this year? I think that worked out well (I wouldn't know as I didn't win shit).

How about sept 2 or 3 for the draft day. It's labor day weekend so I know some may not be able to do it. Let me know.
