This double cutaway Les Paul went up for auction a couple weeks ago. I don't think I have ever seen a guitar so butchered in my life.

Next time you need to adjust the action on your guitar, just head down to the local hardware store and get a couple of those turnbuckles.

Keep in mind someone actually paid $2000 for this guitar.

butchered?? The engineer in me applauds this person for making such a creative fix to this guitar. You can even fine tune it with those funky turnbuckles.

Well, this rocks, but I'd never considered removing frets in order to install nuts and bolts. The mismatched thick yellow paint job is just a bonus

I'm currently working on a rat-bass project. Just need a neck (and a bunch of updated fittings) in order to re-build an old Raven semi-hollow body bass.

I can't wait to make it sing!
Of course, it will cost at least as much as a new rig when it's done.

It looks like a guitar a Borg from Star Trek would design.

those are not turnbuckles. they are macro-tuners

i wouldnt pay 2000$ for that if it was jesus' old guitar

one of th efinest hack jobs i've seen. i dont care if its a 59, its totally ruined. whoever made 2000 bucks on that piece is way lucky. mind as well jsut buy the doublecut LP special which is designed like that and costs 800 bucks

The only thing I can think would justify 2k for this POS would be the original pups, wire and pots.
