I have a rather unusual question, this summer and for the next year or so I will be working in remote areas of Maine and I'm not going to be bringing my electric and amp (it's a tube amp) with me :(
Are there any special steps I should take to store my stuff to make sure that it still works when I use it again?

Send them to me and I'll take care of them

If I were you I'd do this..... Talk to you tech and ask him if he wants to earn the easiest $150 in his life. Then say here's the deal, hold onto my amp and guitar for the next year and once a week play the amp for a few minutes and I'll call you the week before I get home for a setup on the guitar.

Most amps benefit by being played and sitting for extended periods of time is not good for the long term.


Wait, I assume the gear is worth a couple grand or no?

It's worth about a grand, nothing super fancy but enough that I want it to remain in good condition

That's an expensive guitar, IMO.

What about the amp?
