good question. I tend to go for the 12 if I wanna do a Hotel california sometimes I use it for Tangled up in Blue as well.
I really should try and play the 12 more often, but those are the first that come to mind.

that youtube clip was sweet. I've heard that track before on Jimi-Blues, but never seen it. Thanks for posting it. BTW, i saw the tab for that version of the song on ultimate guitar a while back. Seemed pretty accurate, though I never played it all the way through. I don't know if it's kosher to post links to ther sites, but here she is:

Pink Floyd "Wish you were here" is a great classic song for a 12 string.

my suggestion for learning that song is just to make it your own, take some of the key licks jimi does and its not as hard as it looks (if you know blues well) since the song follows the basic blues 12 bar
