I don't think it's in a specific key, per se.

What is the purpose of the question, though? Are you trying to figure out how to solo through it? Just wondering...

Well, playing leads are still a bit away for me, but yeah, just wondering what Jer's doing there.

I think it would be Am if I'm not mistaken. correct me if I'm wrong, but all the chord changes fall within the two Am scales I believe.

Am does look good. See, I'm always looking at things too narrow mindedly; I've got to learn to turn the box a few degrees to get a different perspective. Thanks for reminding me!

PS - Gregg, how do I find the URL that you posted before in another topic, as I just did above? I've always wanted to just copy & past URL's from here so I can email them to my bandmates and they can find the pages I am talking about easier, but it always just says "www.rukind.org/" and never has the full URL. Thanks guys. I looked on that scales/keys thread, but didn't see this song there. I actually printed those lists out, and now have them in my 'scales binder'. Much thanks to the guys who took the time to do that. It is a great reference.

A minor, outro A maj

A minor will work but there are certain notes which may be "half steps" that fit within each chord of the solo parts. The solo will sound right if you hit these notes at the interval of each chord......I'm no theorist and I don't know if I'm making sense but here's the solo chord progression:

Of coarse there are many different ways to play this song. My favoites are from the 70s.

"C Major over C and Am; F maj over F and Dm; B maj over B"

A major for the end

I'll go a step further and voice the respective portions of E major or some E blue note licks over the first half of the phrase ending and then D -> G scale accents at the end of the second half.
