other instruments of the dead

just wondering if any of the boys played anything i was unaware of. Not neccissarily for the dead though
Heres what i know
Jerry- guitar, slide, banjo
Phil - bass and later on guitar
pig - keys, harmonica, guitar, ive seen him(well a picture) with a banjo in his hand.
keith- keys, guitar
bobby- guitar
billy- drums
mickey- we'll just say drums to keep it simple
donna- keith's skin flute (i had to)

oh and i forgot brent, but unfortunatly, he hardly crosses my mind anymore. Just not a big fan of electronic 80s and 90s keys sound, i love his voice though.

Jerry played every instrument except drums on his first solo album.
Jerry:
Guitar
Pedal Steel
Bass
Banjo
Piano and Organ
and he could also play the Mandolin and the Fiddle. Which he played mainly in the early part of his career, pre-dead.

There is also an april fools show I think from 1980 where all of the members switch instruments for promised land opener. Jerry is on drums. So he can play those as well (kinda).

I think Phil was a jazz trumpet player or something before Jerry got him to start playing bass.

Yeah phil played trumpet and violin in orchestra as a child. he then got into composition and jazz trumpet playing. He plays some trumpet on anthem of the sun.

well chomping out chords on the keys is pretty easy for anyone who knows what notes spell out the chords. i cant play keys for shit but i could probably manage something like that. sorry for the pointless post im just excited about getting close to...
