hey. i let a friend use my amp last week and i got it back today and he blew out a speaker

the speakers that were in it were fender utah's and ive been looking around and cant find a replacement

can u recommend a good kind of speaker to replace it?

and if i found another utah would it sound fine if i just replaced the blown one?

What year? IIRC the Utah's are only found in the vintage models, yes?

Hate to offer nothing else but the obvious - eBay.

72 or 73 i think

maybe this is a stupid question, but what actually breaks when a speaker is blown out? the rubberish outside thing is obviously torn. but is there a way to just replace that or would the whole speaker need to be replaced?

Speakers can be repaired but sometimes the cost is greater than the speaker's worth.

Take it to a decent tech.

You said it's a Twin so it has 2 speakers, yes? Likely if one has it's ring torn up the other possibly incurred some damage.
