I'm very late to the party but I have recently been discovering Weather Report Suite, more or less for the first time. Who plays the guitar in the studio recording of Prelude? It seems unlike anything I have heard Bobby play. A quick google search did not provide a definitive answer.

Was Bobby studying classical guitar at the time? Prelude sounds almost baroque.

Listen to Sage & Spirit. Bobby was always exploring.

S&S was part of a warm-up routine that developed into an instrumental.

I've heard similar about WRS Prelude.
