Anybody know about this? It seems like Jerry liked tinkering with his guitars until he started using Wolf, but I didn't hear about him taking the necks off...

All his axes were tinkered with. For example, Wolf went through several pickup configs, same with Tiger - and thats just publicly known information. Im sure there are numerous other modifications he did throughout the years to all his axes that were just small, incremental details that dont get mentioned because folks forgot.

The original frets must have been made out of the world's softest fret wire if Jerry wore them out in 6 months.
