Just joined today... i found RUKind before i even picked up a guitar for the first time in 1999. Far and away the number one influence on my playing.

I just purchased a Schechter C-1 Classic, and play it through a Hot Rod Deluxe. I also play a Seagull acoustic when i don't want to wake the kids...

Big thanks to the Admins and contributors for helping me develop a new (and favorite) hobby!!

I play a tobacco sunburst American Deluxe Strat through a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue amp. The only effects I use are a Crybaby Classic.

Wild how many of us are from Ohio. I'm in Akron.

Ohio is Grate Deadhead country! if your ever in Cleveland theres a great open mic night in Lakewood on tues. lots of dead songs played and a great atmosphere of people. the guitarist from Sultans of Bing comes up and jams. i cant remember his name right now, but i swear tues night i thought i almost saw god in the middle of a jam, it was seriously sick.

I'd like to be able to check that out but its kinda far for a worknight. Whats the name of the bar?

the bar is McCarthy's in Lakewood on Detroit road, up here right on the lake. im not sure the exact address, but if you do a map search know that there is a second McCarthy's downtown in the flats. Akron's not too far away, i'm in the area all the time for work. I saw Israel Vibration down there last summer, or maybe it was the summer before. awsome show , but across the street from the cop shop. i actually installed all the furniture in Akron U's dormrooms - that sucked.

Yeah, I just read about McCarthy's in this weeks Scene magazine. Lakewood is a cool little town. I delivered a singing telegram at a bar there a few years back.
