I'm trying to find an old post here on rukind that went something like "he starts the solo and you think you've heard the same story 100 times before, but just when you think that, Jerry takes you....." (or something like that).

Anyone remember it?

I recall it from somewhere waaaay back.

Think that same thread I added something like Jerry playing over the comps:
1st time plays the melody
2nd time plays around the melody
3rd time abandons the melody
4th time plays against the melody, in spite of the melody, and melts your face
