Most '77 versions are really exceptional. I like the one on "Without A Net" a lot, forget the date but it's from '89 or '90.

What gets me with that version everytime is the "Across the Rio Grande" part when Brent starts singing it after like the 3-4 round...Man, it never fails to give me chills and a lump in my throat. Missin' ya Brent!

ooh! I just thought of great one. 3/21/91 Cap Centre w/Bruce is monumental. W/o a Net is a great one too.
however 10/17/82 is still tops for me. Wonder what it was like seeing them outdoors in the Southern Rockies in October!

Speaking of 1/2 step and without a net, I took this info from deaddisc.com regarding what shows the songs were taken from:

Walkin' Blues - October 23, 1989
Cassidy - February 25, 1990
Let It Grow - March 14, 1990
Althea - March 15, 1990
Mississipi Half Step and Victim Or The Crime - March 21, 1990
One More Saturday Night - March 24, 1990
Bird Song - December 9, 1989
Looks Like Rain - March 28, 1990
Eyes Of The World - March 29, 1990
Help On The Way, Slipknot and Franklin's Tower - March 30, 1990
China Cat Sunflower, I Know You Rider and Dear Mr Fantasy - April 1, 1990

Great show, I've had that tape (yep, you read that right) for a loooong time now. Also has a beautiful Stir It Up jam coming out of Scarlet > Fire, I believe, and the 2nd set starts with an amazingly creepy Victim.
PS - and thanks to this post, my band is now playing Half-Step, and pretty well at that! We're gonna bust it out at our gig next Saturday. Thanks guys! What a fun song to play, I forgot how great it could be.

Manor Downs 8/31/85. My first show, they opened with it and their sound system outdoors was incredible. I was hooked after that.

OK, so other than the '77 versions and the one from WOAN...let's hear some more suggestions. Someone turned me on to 3-24-86 recently and it's a great version and hell of a show with a killer Dew that's now in my all time Favorite Dew list.

3-24-86 is a really nice 1/2 step ... after the second verse and the second I'm on my way Bobby clearly says ,"keep your clothes on out there." this whloe second set is very nicely played ... nothing special about where the songs went or the song selection ... just very nicely played second set, nice nice half step !!!
