Funny thing is that guys been trying to sell that box for years! Or he's cornered the market and has many.

Those boxes are the only correct way of shipping McIntosh and to insure a safe trip. Worth every part of $75ish for them but not $199.

"Only" is strong language.

I've shipped my own MC50 cross-country and back to Pat Hickman (http://classictubeaudio.com/) for various work in a regular box with bubble wrap and peanuts and it went out and came back snug as a bug in a rug.

But that was then. If I needed to do it again now, I'd ship it in my custom-built-for-MC50 Brady Case. https://www.bradycases.com/

I know we are talking about an MC50 which is pretty light, but I would NEVER except bubble wrap and peanuts as a means of shipping an mc2105 or mx110 or anything with a glass faceplate. I would ‘only’ ship or receive using a Proper McIntosh double box. But that’s just me
