Can someone tell me what pedal jerry used to control his phase 100 rate? I have some ideas just not sure? Thanks

If you are referring to the MXR Phase 100, the pedal itself has a speed control. I assume by “rate” you mean speed?

Yes the pedal will be controlling the speed switch

I'm guessing, but if I remember right it was like a wah or volume type pedal modified to turn the same value pot that controls the speed in the phase pedal? The "volume" pedal was wired back to the phaser in the cabinet. Then he could "in effect" turn the pedal knob in the cabinet by using a foot pedal.

Sounds like you are referring to an expression pedal.

There was definitely some kind of expression pedal involved, but I'm fairly certain that the phase 100 has to be modded to accept one, and I have no idea what is involved in doing that.

Scroll down to where it's mentioned. It just replaces the speed pot that is in the Phase 100.

Thanks a lot for the replies I got a pretty good idea what to do just wondering if it's known what value pot did jerry have 1meg ? Or 500k or even 250k or keep it same as original and I saw some boss vol.pedals on stage not sure though ,I am thinking about what pedal has the best travel? So I can really turn the pot as much as possible thanks again
