IMO, personal preference. Only benefit I've seen is with slide players who prefer a standard and flatter radius.
I've played some compounds that feel good, others not so much. I like a flatter neck (16") so a compound that starts sub 10" doesn't do it for me. Felt one that was 10 to 16" compound that felt ok. But still, prefer standard.

I've got a Warmoth compound radius neck on one of my guitars. I love the neck. I'm not sure what the radius plays into it. All my other guitars are one radius (all of them different I think). The only one I have issues with is my '79 Strat. It seems pretty rounded and string bending, especially high up the neck, is a little problematic. I find that I adjust to whatever the instrument I'm playing has and once I'm lost in playing I don't really notice.
