Have been listening to this album a bunch here again lately. Just lovin' the tone!! So another pickup question. What pickups would get you close to the tone of the TB1000A? I know most say without the Bean you're not going to get there, but just wanting to get in the ballpark. I have seen the P90s recommended on here some but it seems more for the TB500 tone. Would getting a set of wrhb from porter or, lollar or, etc... be the way to go? Not sure what I am even going to put them in yet. Anyone have a guitar they feel works well for this?

Fender Wide Range Humbucker from the 70's. Reissues won't do. The original Bean humbuckers on the first run of TB1000 models were wound on scavenged Fender bobbins.
