I've scoured the web and I haven't found an answer. I have 2 jbl d120fs. When wiring these speakers in parallel is soldering required? Or do you pull back the spring and insert the appropriate exposed end into the spring loaded hole to get a connection? Do you have to solder the exposed leads to the metal inside the spring loaded hole? I'm just not sure. I'm presuming soldering is necessary but I'm just trying to double check. Sorry for the nativity.

No solder needed. Speakers are meant to be portable and changeable quickly if one blows.

I should of added to my previous response that JBL polarity is reversed. Red is Negative and Black is Positive You must keep that in mind when you wire up your speakers and it is of course the reverse of the rest of the industry and electronics world.

Yes, polarity is reversed, but if you are hooking up one speaker, polarity won't make a difference, so you can do either way, just to make it more confusing....

I've seen this issue become quite contentious in other contexts. Correct or not, for sure, there's two possible takes on it !
