Looking for tips on Jerry's tone from these years, espeacially with the sg. Amp settings, guitar tone settings, etc. The darker tone before he switched to single coils and the brighter years has some appeal. For reference, the 5-2-70 other one, the tone there is spot on. Thanks

I'm not sure you need the ED. Just get those Super II's in humbucking, put the Twin on gain of 5, drive that JBL a bit. Keep it simple. Neck pup, or Bridge with the guitar tone dialed down a bit.

5-2-70 is the SG into a Fender Twin. I have both and that is literally all there is to it. On a master volume twin, volume on 7 (always), master on 4.
For 71, well, Jerry played like 10 different guitars. The SG up through Feb (Three from the Vault), then the Ric Turner peanut guitar, an Alembic project (Ladies and Gentlemen...and Skull & Roses), a Guild SG clone in late April, Alligator for the show in June in France, tv yellow LP from July to mid August (DP 36), sunburst 71 LP 8/14 & 8/15, maybe a tele 8/23 & 8/24 (Road Trips 1 3 and also DP 36) then back on Alligator for the rest of the year (RT 3 2)
