Hi all,
Do any of you use a Waldo buffer AND a Sarno Black Box? Are they redundant?

Redundant. I'm not positive, but you may run into phasing issues using two also?

It certainly is redundant in terms of the strict function a buffer serves, but this happens all the time. A typical pedal board can have a bunch of buffers in a row in your signal path, so there's nothing 'wrong' with having multiple buffers, though too many can detract from tone. If the black box is giving you tone that you want even though your guitar signal is already buffered, then so be it!

Yup. to add on... many pedals have buffers built in. The only thing to be mindful of is that the fuzzes don't play well with buffers.

I have the Waldo buffer and a stratoblaster clone in my Wolfish. Either/or, not both.
