I'm looking for a good garcia chorus tone for the jgb stuff and i don't want to get the A/DA 2FX rack unit he had. any suggestions? looking for a pedal to add to the pedal board as i don't have a rack and i don't want to add one to the mix. i can't do a roland jazz chorus amp either. thanks in advance, you guys are awesome and your knowledge is super helpful.

Chorus? Jerry never used a chorus effect. He used Phase man. Phase 100 kit from General guitar gadgets.

thanks, i think the phase 100 is part of the "waiting for a miracle" tone I am looking for. I found wald's post for further info. forum/viewtopic.php?f=419&t=17582&start=0#p150088

btw, i know it is not "the tone" but a roland jazz chorus amp's chorus circuit sounds killer on "waiting for a miracle".

Again. Wrong effect, but yeah, the Chorus on the Roland Jazz Chorus amp is very nice. I wish I never traded mine in years ago.

If you have some soldering skills, some patience, and a compulsion to do-it-yourself, the Phase 100 clone from BYOC is killer. It gets many different tones modeled from the Phase 90 and Phase 100: http://buildyourownclone.com/collection ... phaseroyal

Any idea how close the circuit and components are to a vintage phase 100? I have one of the script version phase 90 reissues, and it's pretty astonishing how much better it sounds than the current block label version. I could definitely see replacing it on my board however, as it's a PITA that it only runs on battery, and it's easy to drain it, as it doesn't have a power on LED, and you have to unplug it from the rest of your chain to stop a power draw.

just dug up my old mxr phase 90 (1980 or so) and it doesn't sound half bad on sugaree and waiting for a miracle. don't have the phase 100 script version to compare it to or the dyi kits that seem like the proper way to do it. thanks again for the info.
