hey all, I've been thinking about putting wald's buffer into my partscaster and was bummed about the no battery box on my us strat body, but found this recently. It looks like a cool way to put a wald preamp into a stock or modded strat and not have to remove the whole pickguard to change the battery. http://www.fishman.com/products/series/ ... rypack.php. I'm hoping this would work, looks like it should do the trick.

For $100 that is not a bad alternative. I have a friend who works for Fishman he says the battery pack last a long time ( of course he uses it for the fluence p/u

That's really cool! my only worry would be if it died mid gig. really easy to swap a 9v.
