I'm looking to install humbuckers in a Strat style guitar. Not necessarily looking for a Garcia tone. I want to drop them in without making any mods.

Recommendations please!

Contact Lindy Fralin and tell him what you want. His split blades are up this alley.

Are you looking for HB tone or single coil tone that is hum cancelling? Those Fralin split blade singles are great for strat tones. Dimarzio has several single coil shaped buckers. Even a Super Distortion single that can be tapped I think-

I definitely am looking to eliminate single coil noise. However, I have a Strat-like guitar that has a humbucker in the bridge and I really like it, especially when I combine it with the neck pickup.

So, I'm not 100% sure.

I am looking for some nice thick tone.

I've known him for years. Great guy, winds pickups, knows tone better than anyone I've ever known. He's especially skilled at understanding music registers where instruments sit and how to get great guitar tone!! Tell him I sent you.

Zexcoil pickups are pretty interesting. They make a hum-canceling single coil that's designed to produce a humbucker-like tone

Is it a swimming pool routed body? If so you could get a custom pickguard in any PU config you wanted.

I don't want to change the pickguard. It's totally shielded with OBEL & buffer.
