August West, my Grateful Dead tribute band, will be playing the music of The Grateful Dead two nights this week.

On Wednesday, January 20th, from 9:30 to 11:00 PM, we'll be back at our favorite tribute to the art of the hops - Threes Brewing in Gowanus, Brooklyn. It's part of their regular Wednesday GRATEFUL DJEAD NIGHT WITH SCOTT DEVENDORF. Scott Devendorf, the bassist with The National plays a killer Dead set starting at 6:30. Then we come on at 9:30. We'll be playing a semi-acoustic set.

On Friday, January 22nd, from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AMwe'll be playing our first gig at Toomey's Tavern in Amityville on Long Island. Come on out and join us.
