Too bad the lesson doesn't address the Bm chord in the solo sections.

Ha! Tough crowd over here! I'm just pleased to see any Dead instruction anywhere basically. More, more, more.

It's a pretty distinct omission. The first solo section is basically Ema7 to Bm and the second is Ema7 to Bm to A. Why drop the Bm? Almost like he didn't really know how to address it...

Do the Dead even hit the A chord or is it a passing tone ?
I try to stay off hitting the full chord .....

I assume you're talking about the intro? There's definitely an A chord in the solo after the 2nd verse. But for that passing chord in the intro, I have always played what looks like an A chord, but avoid the bass note so it doesn't sound like an a chord, and the rest of the band definitely doesn't hit that A with me--so it's definitely acting more like a passing chord. However, having watched Grateful Guitar Lesson Guy's lesson posted earlier in this thread (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1C-BQ3EZrA) his version sounds better to me so I think that after 3 decades of playing it slightly wrong, I'm going to change my tune, so to speak.
