Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with any Resurrection guitar Cripe replicas?

It sure would help if they would put the goddamn bridge in the right place ... mine, and at least two others I know of, were placed incorrectly and had to be repositioned later because the guitar would not intonate correctly. They offered no assistance or compensation even though I am the original owner. Gary Brawer drilled it out, put in ebony plugs and then resat the bridge where it should have been in the first place.
You can see the ebony plugs here, and I have seen others just like it.
To top off the whole experience, Brawer forgot to connect the string ground, which is why you see that little ground wire there by the bridge. Had that fixed locally.
I also had a major problem with the truss rod a few years back but I can't say whether that was really their fault. It happened after playing a gig in Vermont outdoors in very cold temperatures.

Sorry. Maybe I should have clarified. I have several Garcia inspired guitars including a Phiga and an alembic further. The further is probably the most well built guitar I've ever seen, but I hate the way it sounds. Just trying to get a sonic opinion on a Resurrection, with the bridge in the proper place that is.

Just curious, what do you hate about the Further guitar? Could you swap pickups and electronics to find "the sound" you seek? Just wondering.

Oh I definitely could swap out electronics, because I love the way the guitar plays, but I would hate to chop up a collectible guitar. I have been in contact with alembic, asking about John Ks Orion, which has the same electronics with the exception of a 5 way switch. I just can't get the damn thing to sound "right" to me.

Sounds nice to me also. Maybe try adjusting your pup height or even raising your action a bit. Or lowering it. Depending on what you wanna hear. But personally, I like it.

I love the way your Alembic sounds. Very crisp and responsive to your touch.
