hey now, wondering the proper way to wire up this new rig>

at the moment its mc2100>smsclassic>2 x12 jbl e120. at the moment me and my father kinda jerry rigged it to test it out pun intented. we just have good ole fashion speaker wire going from the mc2100 to the speakers and a RC stero/mono cable going from the sms to the McIntosh. I really have no idea what I am doing at all my dad has been sterring this ship I just been playing and liking what I hear ALOT!!! I just really want to figure out a way to get this thing gig ready and fool proof. I do not have a good feeling about bringing the rig out like this

how did you guys set yours up? what is the proper cabling I need?? should I consider a power conditioner as well????

one confused but very happy jerry wannabe

Guitar > (instrument cable) > sms >(instrument cable) > to input of one side/channel of Mc2100 (right or left doesn't matter) > (speaker wire from appropriate impedance output of Mc2100) > speaker.

If the 2100 has not been recently serviced with documentation, most if not all electrolytic capacitors on the input board and the two output boards should be replaced. Some do this work themselves and some send it or take it to a tech that is familiar with them. There are a few mentioned here somewhere and I'm sure someone will chime in for that. I did mine myself.
