Looking to get a new guitar that is versatile. Leaning toward prs not a fan of fender guitar or Gibson. Any advice on which model that would do a decent job. Thanks looking under 1000 nothing crazy

if it was me, I would need the middle pickup. The only PRS you can find consistently for under a grand would be the S2 which are newer or the SEs (korean made). I can't think of either that comes with a middle pickup. you could find a SE for fairly cheap and route it for a middle pickup.
Or save up a little more and look for a used DC3. recent model with 3 singles. you see them used 12-1400.

or an older EG model could be found around in that same ballpark. Jon K plays one of those. I do like the more recent PRS stuff, though, compared to the 90s stuff.

I think the older stuff, modified by any of several of the members here on this board, represents tremendous value. Great feel plus great tone.

May even look at phred instruments liger price is right. I have one similar to languedoc but had a lot of mods done. So not sure which way to go. Love the tone of jerry but what to be able to play other stuff.
