Alas, it wasn't quite a suck-ass movie, but the trailer was much better than the movie.
I went to see 300 last night and holy shit was that whacked out. Way over the top, which can be good, but there were too many "serious" moments for it to be a good campy film. The film looked cool as hell though, except they had some sort of visual effects going on the abs of all the Spartans. It was totally comical.
The movie was bloody as hell, but most of the blood was digitally added, so it was gratutiously fake and it was a very, very violent movie (but my cynical self was not all surprised to see a father and two kids [neither more than 7] walking out at the end of the film) . Definitely not worth the $20 it cost me to go to a movie by myself ($9.25 ticket, $4 bottle of water, $4 small popcorn). A good renter perhaps.
Anyone see it?
