I'll be wearing mine (just ordered from the Dead's web site - one for my daughter, one for me) at this summer's gigs so I think they are.

You've posted 3 words. The last (reading from right to left as that's how Hebrew works) is pronounced "met" (with a bit of a long "a" sounding to it) which means "dead." The second is "todah" which means "thank you" but could also mean "grateful" in context. The first word makes no sense in context. It ("asir") can mean either "prisoner" (if used as a noun) or "to convict" (if used as a verb).
I would clarify further that what's on the Grateful Dead shirt is not a translation of Grateful Dead into Hebrew but rather a transliteration of such.
