Brian K brought me his Bandmaster Reverb sorely needing some tender loving care.
Lots of old, gone-bad, capacitors, some carbon comp R's that had drifted into oblivion....all made good now.
bias circuit changed to adjustable bias instead of bias-balance
I also modded the reverb a bit to make it easier to dial-in (widened the sweet spot and reduce the max amount of reverb).

I'm posting this to remind how a good Strat (in my case, Lollar blackface pickups with my own design unity gain buffer inside the guitar) into a single JBL K-120 (recently reconed by Upland) can sound into a Fender style amp! Bear in mind the low volume, amp not really opened up...but still...you can't help but love this stuff!

A friend of mine (Jon C on TGP) modded his SFBR to add a pair of 8" speakers to the head cab (the pic below is not his but it's what he also did). It's not Jerry-like per se but for general use he has himself a great very portable option in it.

Kimock did the same thing, added two 8" speakers, except it was to his Twin Reverb head. Similar idea..I think he used the Jupiter speakers.

Yes he did. I put a jupiter in my champ based upon that rec. killer speakers (made by WGS as I understand).

Edit: I've been giving serious consideration to buying a head cab and doing this with my twin for all of the obvious reasons.
