There used to be a way to download SB's from Archive.org, but the way I was doing it doesn't work any more. Anyone have some new ideas or ways? I could really use a few new shows for the old cd player in the old car...

I haven't been on there in a couple of years, but bt.etree.org used to work for me. I cant remember the other two(I think) programs you need tho. DB poweramp convertor, or a batch converter. I know that's probably not much help, but I'm pretty much useless when it comes to that stuff. My brother set it up for me. Anyone with any legitimate knowledge of computers could probably figure it out though. Unfortunately I don't fall into that category.

you can still download anything you want from sugarmegs.org in .wma or .mp3
the shows are not broken up into files, they play as complete shows...killer jgb and just about every dead show ever...

I also recently discovered that my way of downloading archive.org songs has disappeared. Audacity can record system audio, and you can break up songs into separate mp3s, but it's a bit of a hassle.

The easiest way is to use Chrome and install the "Grateful Grabber" extension. It integrates with the archive and allows you to download a ZIP of the whole show or individual songs (incl. stream only)

Unfortunately, Chrome doesn't support older versions of the Mac OS (10.5.
for instance, and my hardware (older MacBook Pro) can't be updated beyond it. I found an older verison of Chrome that I can run but Grateful Grabber won't run on it. Any other options?

FYI Apple's latest OS X - Yosemite, is a free upgrade for Mac owners. You should be able to download and install it fine on a MacBook Pro. Then, just make sure Chome is up to date. You should have full functionality.

I'll give it a shot but haven't been able to update past 10.5.8 before now...
