One MORE example of 'Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.'

A lost opportunity for Alvarez. And I like their guitars. My primary acoustic these days is an Alvarez AD70CE. Amazing value for the price. Acoustically, it's just OK - it's no D28 - but the B-Band pickup system is wonderful.

I do love my Ad 90 sck. For the price it has given me years of playability. And i love the back and side wood, (Dao, looks like Koa)

I guess the Dead approached them to make a special model. It looks like $400 from guitar center. I think it is nice to see them honor the GD.

Yeah, definitely a missed opportunity by Alvarez. I saw a thread titled like this on another forum and got excited only to click on it see these garish things.

Not a buyer but I do think their technology to screen print is pretty cool.

And that one with like a sepia vintagey simple top is really great looking, IMO!

I hope they get enough buyers to keep pushing their innovation and not just cranking out bland guitars to the masses.

I have received the AD70, very happy with it. Not a bad acoustic sound, the spuce and rosewood combo give that bluegrass chime and as you mentioned the electronics are wonderful.

No brainer for $299, thanks again for the heads up.
