Great overdrive sounds on this version of Tore Up. Any clue as to the OD pedal Jerry Garcia was using in this Early '78 clip. Love that tone!

That doesn't sound like he is using the MXR...just Wolf pushing the Fender preamp hard, MAC>JBL's, etc...
By the spring of 78' he was using the MXR pretty heavy with The Dead...you can hear it with Samson & Delilah, Passenger, Might as Well, Sunrise, etc...
It has that distinct "bees in a box" buzz when he kicks it in...
I don't hear it on this version of Tore Up...
