Tone knobs

I have certainly read enough on this topic here, and don't want to beat any dead horses here - and I absolutely know that the best settings is "what sounds good" -

given that, Waldo's site indicates that the closest approximation to our holy grail-type tone - with regard to combos - is midrange all the way up, and treble at 6 ish?

Does that mean that, if one is playing a Twin Reverb, or a clean solid state such as a Roland JC, that bass should be at ~2.5, mid at 10, treble just over halfway?

You have a couple of settings switched.

Treble - 10
Mid - 5.5-6
Base Off-2-3

I've tried settings close to these on a JC-120, Mesa's of various models, and Fender Amps of various models. You are correct. All individual amps need to be tweaked to taste and to the room.
