November 2014 Premier Guitar, article at page 154, The Dick Dale Wiring: "Dale plays left-handed on a right handed guitar without restringing. This results in a reverse-angled bridge pickup, with more high-end bite on the bass strings and a warmer sound on the trebles."

If its without restringing he would be playing upside down and backwards like Elizabeth Cotten and the pick up orientation would still be normal strat. jimi played back wards but not upside down (low Strings still on top) that resulted in the "voodoo" string path. That would give the extra bite on the low strings and slight mellowing of the high strings

I wondered if anyone would catch that.

Not a single pot on the guitar? Just a switch? That's as bizarre as playing upside down. I met a girl that played like that once...gotta be tough to have to reinvent everything re: fingering etc. Tuning?

Wouldn't the strap hit the back of the neck on the way up to his shoulder?
Wait! That's a left handed guitar strung opposite! Weird!
