Very cool. Another pedal that I must have to feed my addiction. Going to have to suck it up and get one. Since I don't yet have an octave divide I can justify yet another pedal...right?

I'm very tempted, but I've really been lovin the Boss OC-2. I'll be interested in hearing comparisons. For some reason Jerry let the Mu Tron go for the Boss. I've never heard any reasoning though.

Not interested. If you really want an octave divider clone you can build the kit from byoc. Indistinguishable from the original, and it costs something like a third as much as this. Personally I'll keep on running my POG, which doesn't have the performance limitations of the older technologies, though the tone isn't quite the same.

Just got off the phone with the company and they will be shipping the first week in January. I also found out I was the 21st ordered, not a big deal but pretty cool in my head. :-)

Sold my 78 my Mutron octave to a guy in France and pulled out the Boss. I didn't want $700 tied up in a pedal when I still needed a Mac. The octave tone is much easier to achieve with a substitution, compared to the original Mutron III

Hey SoftMachine. Which Boss Octave do you have? OC-2? Japan/Taiwan? Thanks!

Phishfan- I talked to Analog Mike (analogman) regarding the Japan vs. Taiwan OC-2 and he said they are identical. He said don't pay the inflated price for the Japanese version. I have the Taiwan version and it sounds great. Very stable and plays nice with all the other pedals on the board.

It is probably a good pedal, but the Boss OC-2 works great. You can find them for $50 or less on Craigs list or Ebay.

However, the MU-FX TRU-TRON 3X looks interesting. I would think about that one.
