This is pretty slick. Would be great for a duo or trio. Probably sound sweet with an AXE-FX with stereo effects.
Aspen was the guy behind Groove Tubes and wrote "The Tube Amp Book"

If anyone is familiar with field recording, this sounds like the MS stereo recording technique but for a speaker. One Mic facing forward, and a figure 8 facing sideways. You can then combine the signals later to create a stereo sound. Depending on the blend, and the mics used, you could simulate any combination of stereo mic patterns.
