Jerry delay settings

With all the knob twisting I still can't seem to get a very good Jerry tone from my Maxon analog delay. Is there a go to setting or is a digital delay easier to dial in?

I believe the ADA he used was digital? Unless your going for the MXR sound, but I don't recall a time when I heard him using that one?
I use an analog delay that I built, but it is not clean like the ADA. I wonder if there is a comparable pedal?

Clean is a good way of putting it. Late 80's/90's tone. I will look for a good clip as an example of whats in my head. The analog Maxon sounds good but its either not enough or too much to my ears.

It's pretty easy with a carbon copy. Then again, that is an MXR pedal, and is voiced similar to what he used.

I thought he did use a carbon copy at some point. I'm probably confused though. Nothing new there.

I gave it another go and found that the delay level has to be almost all the way up. That helped a lot. Not sure if this is normal or just my unit.
