I'll have to check out the headstock...Ive seen the Play.afterdark performance, I thought it had a classical type headstock which is typical for Martins of this model/era I think. Cool find. And those real tortoise pickguards are just beyond equal.
I cant see any indication of a 7 string headstock in the Playboy video. Also it sounds like Garcia is playing in some alternate tuning, yet the chords positions seem standard. Idk...haven't played this song before, but maybe Ill learn it today
