Not sure if this is the right place to post this?

My Mutron III needs work. probably re-calibrated. I'm in Toronto and there's not really anyone here that gets it.

Where would you send yours?

And/or, would it be money better spent getting the new one from Mike? Mine is one of the early ones. the screws probably need to be drilled out as they're stripped

six in one/ half dozen in the other on the Trutron vs. repair. I have both, if I had neither I'd go the Trutron route.

you don't notice much difference?

Its a bit of a pain having to ship it from Toronto to CA and back. big margin for error...

Ship it out, and have it done up right. It's worth it. IMHO, it sounds a lot better than the Trutron.

I've also AB'd them side by side and to my ears they are identical plus the Trutron 3X has a couple of added features.

I'd have to agree with hippieguy. I have both and my MuIII was gone over by Richard L., so it's in great shape. The Trutron is what I currently gig with. I love the Mu and I'll never get rid of it, but man the Trutron sounds great, is very user friendly, and has a slightly smaller footprint.

Hey dudes and dudettes, I've got an old Mutron iii and suddenly, it just stopped working. I plug it in and nothing happens.

replace the batteries!

Personally, I have a Q-Tron (old), a Proton, and I'm currently having fun with a Zoom MS-100BT digital multi-stomp, which has a plethora of auto-wah, envelope, and modulation stomps to mess with...but, I digress...
Lingenberg can fix your original mutron (most likely), or Mike Beigel can sell you a Tru-Tron, or both, or neither. In any case, the info needed to help you decide is here...

Sorry to hijack this old thread - was wondering if you have found a good way to get towards Jerry's steel drum sound (ala Rubin and Cherise) with your Zoom MS-100BT.
