67 Bandmaster AB763

Hey All,
Just picked up a '67 AB763 Bandmaster in good working order...I know a few guys around here use Bandmasters and Dual Showmans as they share a similar circuit in the preamp to the twin??
I'm gonna try to lighten my load and shrink my rig down for smaller gigs. Anybody have any tips for me in regard to using this head with a 1x12 cab and a reverb pedal? Any opinions on the how you guys like these amps for approximating a early 70s Jerry?
PS-I'm using a Strat with Duncan Antiquity Surf Set and a Blaster circuit...
