Due to my willingness to run my yapper, many of you probably know my stiuation, stuck down in GTMO. Well, all of that's about to change, for the FAA has finally decided to take their chances with me--leave in two days.

As my emotions jump towards happiness, relief, satisfaction--all of that--they also leave room for gratitude; gratitude for this site and the folks that make it up.

Sometimes it's been a place to vent my frustration but most of the time it has been an escape from the tight ass republicans that surround me.

So..thank you rukind and everybody here for helping me deal with a sometimes mentally exhausting period of my life.

Peace

First, home to the blue ridge mountains to pick up a few things. Then, the wife, dog, and I road trip it (I'm very excited to be behind the wheel again, though I'm not so sure the State of VA is) out to Oklahoma City. The school in OK is literally an Air Traffic Control boot camp; 11 weeks to put my nogin to good use, I say.

If and when I graduate we'll be headed to Jacksonville, Fl where we can plant our feet on the ground for as long as we'd like. Not the best of cities but I'll be happy to be back on the east coast.

Awesome. But everytime I hear Jackson, all I can think about....

We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout,
We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson, ever since the fire went out.
I'm goin' to Jackson, I'm gonna mess around,
Yeah, I'm goin' to Jackson,
Look out Jackson town.

Well, go on down to Jackson; go ahead and wreck your health.
Go play your hand you big-talkin' man, make a big fool of yourself,
Yeah, go to Jackson; go comb your hair!
Honey, I'm gonna snowball Jackson.
See if I care.

When I breeze into that city, people gonna stoop and bow. (Hah!)
All them women gonna make me, teach 'em what they don't know how,
I'm goin' to Jackson, you turn-a loose-a my coat.
'Cos I'm goin' to Jackson.
"Goodbye," that's all she wrote.

But they'll laugh at you in Jackson, and I'll be dancin' on a Pony Keg.
They'll lead you 'round town like a scalded hound,
With your tail tucked between your legs,
Yeah, go to Jackson, you big-talkin' man.
And I'll be waitin' in Jackson, behind my Jaypan Fan,

Well now, we got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper Sprout,
We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson, ever since the fire went.
I'm goin' to Jackson, and that's a fact.
Yeah, we're goin' to Jackson, ain't never comin' back.

Well, we got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout'
And we've been talkin' 'bout Jackson, ever since the fire went...

Coming home from a hot climate? Tom Robbins could write a book about your story. Good to hear Trystine, best of luck heading home.

Most definitely, though I'm not sure I am what you could call a fierce invalid...That book changed my life, by the way, Crazy Fingers.
