Mardi Gras!

The last two years I have played this cool Mardi Gras gig to benefit a local alternative hippie school. It's kind of a local all-star band they throw together for this show. Last year was a lot of fun, the band this year was too much fun. It's cool to do gigs like this - it'd have been nice if we'd gotten one rehearsal in but we got through pretty well. The singer (Kerry Hurley) and bassist (Hoppy Vaughan) are from Roanoke and have played in a blues band together. The Allen brothers (Janiah and Jamiel) on drums and keys play together. All of them are great players. Fun playing for a good cause!
We played a bunch of Meters, Neville Bros, Earl King, and some random blues and rock tunes. It was cool to use my Jerry-ish rig for some different stuff.
